Firas Deeb
Firas brings 17 years of international experience in development, program management, capacity building, and ESG integration. His career spans European institutions and international organizations across the EU, Africa, and the Middle East, where he has partnered with donors, governments, and financial institutions to design and implement strategic solutions that address complex challenges, drive sustainable growth, and embed robust environmental, social, and governance practices.
At Hermon Team, Firas leads the organization’s founding vision. He directs high-impact initiatives, streamlines operations, and ensures that every program advances economic development, social progress, and long-term sustainability.
Haya Jreaa
Haya is an organizational development specialist and change management consultant with over a decade of experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She has worked with PA Consulting and led youth and education reform projects in Iraq for SPARK, bringing a systems-level perspective to transformational initiatives.
Within Hermon Team’s Europe unit, Haya designs and delivers capacity-building workshops, stakeholder engagement frameworks, and leadership training. She has facilitated 30+ workshops for more than 600 participants, guiding clients through change processes in fragile and post-conflict contexts.
Riad Tabba
Riad is a finance expert with more than 18 years of experience in investment strategy, financial planning, and transaction advisory. He holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi and has served in senior roles at Starbucks, Wolford, and Mytheresa, as well as in transaction advisory at Ernst & Young. Riad also supported the launch of a financial services firm within Cham Holding.
He bridges private finance and public development, specializing in funding infrastructure, SMEs, and economic recovery programs. At Hermon Team, Riad advises on investment readiness, financial modeling, and capital-raising strategies to maximize impact for clients and partners.
Alaa Al-Azem
Alaa has dedicated over 20 years to building thriving ecosystems for startups and SMEs across Syria, the UAE, Thailand, Turkey, Iraq, and Yemen. She specializes in refining organizational structures for tech entrepreneurs, SME owners, and emerging managers, ensuring that digital and remote-first environments never limit access to finance or growth.
As CEO of Hermon Team, Alaa shapes the firm’s strategic direction, engages with key stakeholders, and oversees all executive functions. She aligns board priorities with operational goals, secures partnerships and funding, and champions a culture of innovation, accountability, and economic impact.
Nour Haiyany
Nour holds an MBA and over ten years of experience driving operational excellence across diverse industries. He has led initiatives to improve productivity, elevate service quality, and enhance process efficiency, always combining academic insight with hands-on implementation.
At Hermon Team, Nour oversees operations and resource management. He implements process-optimization methodologies, develops KPI dashboards, and ensures that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Ali Ali
Ali is a development practitioner with extensive expertise in SME support, access to finance, and higher education reform in Iraq. He has designed and managed USAID, EU, and Dutch MFA–funded initiatives, including SME loan clinics, youth internship programs, and university–industry partnerships.
From his base in Erbil, Ali coordinates program design, stakeholder mapping, and performance monitoring for Hermon Team. He advances private sector lending, digital skills development, and vocational curriculum reform to strengthen entrepreneurship across Iraq and the MENA region.
Rawan Alzaidi
Rawan is a private sector strategist with 20 years of advancing agritech innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems in Iraq. She led the country’s first integrated palm cultivation initiative—combining sustainability, service-model design, and investor partnerships—and has since championed agricultural value chains rooted in local expertise.
Based in Baghdad, Rawan supports Hermon Team’s agribusiness and ecosystem-building programs across Iraq and the wider MENA region. She advises on market research, investor engagement, and private sector resilience to drive inclusive growth.
Dr.Magd Juratly
Senior agricultural professional with 25 years’ experience of researching and implementing biotechnological,
agricultural, developmental and environmental projects in the Middle East and Europe, including in Syria, Lebanon,
Hungary, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. Founder and director of Green Studies, which researches and
implements agricultural projects across the Middle East. A senior lecturer at Aleppo University, Faculty of Agriculture,
Syria, since 1987. Extensive experience in scientific research including manufacturing structural formulas for ‘organic
pesticides’ in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture in Jocoroya University in Turkey. Accomplished in designing
and implementing training, managing projects, securing funds and delivering results.
Ammar Al-Suraihi
Ammar is a consultant with more than 10 years of experience in curriculum development, business development, and economic empowerment. He has designed financial education and entrepreneurship programs, supervised over 100 consultants, and helped companies integrate digital transformation and green-economy practices.
Within Hermon Team, Ammar develops consulting services that align with technological advancements and sustainability goals. He crafts strategic roadmaps for digitalization, advises on green-economy models, and embeds environmental metrics into core business functions.
Akram Zaidan
Akram brings more than 16 years of expertise in project management, strategic business planning, and entrepreneurship ecosystem development. He has partnered with SPARK Netherlands, Oxfam, UNICEF, UNDP, and the European Training Foundation—leading research, M&E, and capacity-building projects for youth, SMEs, and vulnerable populations.
An MBA in Marketing with multiple certifications in project management and innovation, Akram has delivered over 2,000 hours of training and mentorship. At Hermon Team, he guides program design, stakeholder alignment, and innovation labs to deliver sustainable, scalable solutions.
Mohgah Hizam
Mohgah is a business growth consultant with over a decade of experience advising micro, small, and medium enterprises in Yemen. She partners with leading international NGOs to guide clients through feasibility studies, sustainability strategies, advanced marketing approaches, and life-skills training.
At Hermon Team, Mohgah delivers end-to-end consultancy services that strengthen organizational capacity, foster resilient communities, and drive sustainable economic growth underpinned by rigorous research and adaptive leadership.
Sabah Bakeer
Sabah is a senior development expert with over 25 years of experience in youth and women’s economic empowerment, social cohesion, and life-skills training across Yemen. She has led national programs for Save the Children, UNFPA, DRC, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and currently serves as Executive Manager of the FOR ALL Foundation.
As Hermon Team’s Country Team Leader in Yemen, Sabah designs and oversees youth livelihoods, protection, and community-based training programs. She partners with NGOs, governments, and private sector actors to build local capacities and promote sustainable, inclusive development in fragile contexts.
Ahlam Al-Moalla
Ahlam is an entrepreneurship consultant and coach with ten years of hands-on experience across Yemen. She has designed specialized training programs, co-created market-driven curricula, and provided ongoing mentorship in partnership with the UN and ILO.
Holding an MSc in International Economics, Ahlam develops investor-ready feasibility studies and scientifically grounded entrepreneurial programs. At Hermon Team, she delivers tailored consulting that equips startups and SMEs with the strategic guidance needed for sustainable growth.
Anas Mansour
Anas Mansour, MD, Scientific Research Specialist
Medical Doctor with 4+ years of experience in clinical research and healthcare innovation. Anas has worked as a researcher with many organizations, including Aga Khan Health Services, where he contributed to survey design, focus group facilitation, and bilingual reporting. He has coordinated scientific events, volunteered in humanitarian medical missions, and presented original research at national conferences. His interdisciplinary strengths extend beyond medicine—earning first place in the 2015 World Robot Olympiad in Syria.
Mohamad Baba
Mr. Mohamad Baba is a seasoned legal expert with over 13 years of experience in corporate, banking, finance, and investment law in Syria and internationally. His professional background combines extensive advisory work on financial institutions, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks with strong litigation and arbitration expertise. He has advised clients on complex transactions, licensing requirements, and compliance matters, giving him deep knowledge of how financial and non-banking financial institutions operate under Syrian law.
He holds an LL.M. in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law from Fordham University School of Law (New York, 2017) and a Master’s degree in Arbitration in Administrative Contracts under Syrian Law (2022). His international exposure includes legal training with the New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division, and with Youman, Madeo & Fasano Law Firm in New York, where he worked on commercial and financial cases.
Mr. Baba is admitted to the Damascus Bar Association (2011) and is fluent in both Arabic and English.
